Weekend Recap | No. 02
Hello friends! Cheers to another Monday! It’s been a great start to the week so far—Miles and I began implementing our new morning and evening routines that we created on Sunday. I’ll share more about that in another post, but wow it feels so good to get back on track and into healthy habits after the holidays and the craziness of having a new puppy in our home!
Friday was a fun and cozy evening at home—we made breakfast for dinner (homemade hashbrown waffles with fried eggs on top!) and watched our new favorite show! Saturday was quite busy, so I’m glad we had a restful evening at home on Friday. In the morning, I went out for coffee with the ladies on the non-profit board I serve on, ran errands with Miles, worked on house projects (our TV is finally up on the wall and all the cords are covered! Yay!). Then we brought back our Saturday pizza night tradition and made homemade gluten-free pizzas. We were inspired by the Toto at Punch Pizza, so we loaded our pizzas up with prosciutto, goat cheese, and arugula. And of course, drizzled it with olive oil and balsamic! The best!
On Sunday, we went out for lunch with an old friend from college to watch the Vikings/Bears game. And then Miles and I got to work on getting our lives back in order, cleaned the house, and discussed our new morning and evening routine!
I guess it was both a busy and restful weekend! Now onto something I’m loving…
Something I’m Loving
Beautiful Guided Journal for Lent
I saw this Lent journal on Instagram and it stopped me in my tracks! Oh my goodness, it is just so stunning and peaceful, don’t you think?! I’ve been wanting to participate more in Lent over the last few years, but the season just slips through my fingers and before we know it, Easter is here! I think this is the perfect Bible journal for morning devotions and quiet time this Lenten season. It comes with scripture cards in the most beautiful floral keepsake box. AND, it’s on sale for only $25 this week!
