Weekend Recap | No. 05
Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s been a while, huh? The start of this year was a doozy for our family—all day nausea for me, followed by a few weeks of Covid! Ugh! It was rough, but we are all healthy and back in action now!
We had the most fun-filled weekend full of celebrations! First, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a taco bar and non-alcoholic margaritas (the best!), then my alarm went off at 4:00 am the next day for the King’s Coronation!! I celebrated in my pajamas while Miles and the pup slept, enjoying some mini quiche, scones, lemon bread, and of course, many cups of tea! I finally got to use the vintage Queen Elizabeth coronation plate I found at an estate sale last year.
Saturday evening, we hosted my family for the Kentucky Derby! We enjoyed Kentucky hot brown sandwiches, pimiento cheese, broccoli salad, black-eyed susan slushies, sweet tea, and the cutest hummingbird cupcakes for dessert.
Sunday was a busy day too, celebrating my sweet friend at her baby shower!
What a fun and memorable weekend. Now I need a nap 😉
Now onto something I’m loving!

Fernandina Paper Co.
McKenzie at Fernandina Paper Co. designs the cutest, classic printables for her digital library! I subscribed in the nick of time and downloaded tons of decor for our Cinco de Mayo party and our Kentucky Derby party. Her lil library has everything you might need for celebrating—invitations, stationery, menus, banners, signs, cupcake toppers. Simply adorable!
